Running in the Media Maraton de Bogota

Today was great. Not because someone bought me flowers or I spent it partying with my friends, but because my body is in pain, and I'm happy for another accomplishment.

I ran in the Media Maraton de Bogota (Bogota Half Marathon) today, which is my first race down in South America. It's funny; I only ran the 10K because I thought I didn't have the lung capacity yet to run in the 21K, but then something happened after the race that required I run/walk home (story for another day). And I ended up walking another 7 miles or so home. Yep, I could have just run the whole half marathon.

So I'm just going to qualify this as having run 13.1 miles. Breathing is still labored due to the altitude, but my body thanks me for the work I put it through. It can only get better.

Cheers Eights & Weights!
