So, I'm currently in Bogota (that's in Colombia for the geographically challenged :)), and as you can imagine, I've been spending a lot of time doing physical activity. It is a tad difficult out here because of the altitude of the city, so it's easy to get that heavy air pressure feeling in your head, your ears, and even your chest while working out. But I'm doing this anyway.

6000 Jumping Jacks Done!
Yep, I'm done with my June Jumping Jack Challenge! It was brutal, but what isn't? I'm challenging myself to do some more runs and climbs for the last few days of the month, but I'm pretty excited that I got this done in good time.
Now, obviously, July is coming and we'll be doing another challenge then. Till then, get some rest, recharge, and I'll see you in a few days :)
Cheers Eights & Weights!

Think Before You Drink That Lemonade
The diet trap that a lot of us fall into is drinking our calories. If something says "fruit" on it, that does not always mean it is the best for you. One of the biggest traps is with lemonade.

Yoga on a Plane, in the Airport, Yoga Everywhere
So I know I've been a little MIA lately. I have had a lot on my plate. But I haven't stopped my jumping jacks!!! I hope you haven't too. We have about 5 more days in June, and I'm at 5000. That means 1000 more to go, but I know I can do it over the next couple of days.

TribeSports: Leg/Ab Superset
You want great legs and abs, right? Well, here's a new challenge to try. This does not absolve you of your jumping jacks though! You're still expected to get that 6000 done. I have tried this and boy... that 5 times is a killer.
For full details on the challenge, to check how others are doing, and to view other amazing challenges, check out the challenge on the TribeSports website.

Jumping Jack Challenge Day 17!
So how are those jumping jacks coming along? On the road to 6000! I'm currently still at 2600 (which is because I forgot to do them over the weekend) so I'll be catching up tonight. One reader told me she'll wait till the last week and do 1000 each day. Crazy! What's your strategy?

Challenging Your Core
I always talk about challenging your body, and how it helps you maximize your physical potential. With any strength training exercise, that could be pushing yourself to do more reps, using more weights in the same exercises, or adding the challenge of balance to your workout.

Are Crunches Enough?
I have too many friends who wake up every morning and do like 100 crunches before they start their days. Or they do 100 crunches before they go to bed. All in the hope that they'd get better abs or at least a stronger core. I know I've said it before, but doing just crunches has not yet solved anyone's midsection problem.

One-Legged Wall Sit
You know I love my butt, thigh and leg exercises, and so I thought I'd share one today. I talk about the squats a lot, and so most of you know how to do that by now. However, rather than pulse as far up and down as you do in the squat, you can still work your lower body with other similar exercises. One of these is the wall sit.
