Think Before You Drink That Lemonade

The diet trap that a lot of us fall into is drinking our calories. If something says "fruit" on it, that does not always mean it is the best for you. One of the biggest traps is with lemonade.

Fairly often, lemonade is made with tons of sugar, mostly because no one wants to drink lemon juice on its own. The problem is that all that sugar usually means tons of unnecessary calories. Yes, I know. Bummer.

So what should you do instead? Put some real fruits in your water. I personally like lemons or strawberries in my water. It makes me drink more, and I can feel like I'm drinking juice. 

If you absolutely prefer to drink juice, how about making juice that does not need sugar? Orange juice, guava juice, and mango juice are just a few options. They are yummy and they contain enough sugar on their own. Just make sure you note how much you are drinking as well because they do contain some sugar.
