We form the habit of comparing ourselves to other people all the time. Usually, what we come up with is short, especially when it is people we admire. For every kind of success in life, whether it is success with our bodies, our minds, our careers, or our families, let us continue to try to remember not to underestimate ourselves.
You think you can never lose that weight? Other people in your exact situation have done it, so you can. You think you can never get stronger or build those muscles? You can if you put your mind to it. Everyone has weaknesses, but our ability to work hard and push through those weaknesses is what makes us human.
And what happens when someone else makes you believe you can't do it? Find someone who does believe in you. You would be amazed at what your body can achieve when the strength is all in your mind.
Some things I do now, I would not have believed I could do 2 years ago, whether it is with my diet, with exercise, with my body, or even with this blog. I did not and continue not to allow my own insecurities or anyone else's define what I can become. I let my hard work define that.
So yes, that is all just a long wound out way of saying "Believe in yourself". Never underestimate what you can achieve.
Have a lovely weekend.
Cheers Eights & Weights!
Nice post! Let's be honest, staying motivated is not the easiest thing to do. That is the reason a lot of weight lifters quit lifting, on the grounds that they've lost their inspiration. I have practically lost the greater part of mine some time recently, and practically quit lifting, yet I recaptured it and now I'm coming along fine for my first year. I have inspiration in all that I do, and a ton of motivations to remain roused. Alafaya lap band surgery
