Product Review: Total Nutrition by Immortal Herbs

Have you ever watched a Dr. Oz show and heard him talk about how you can get a "green high" from a concentrated vegetable shot? Yea, we are all skeptical until it happens. This is exactly what I felt when I took a shot of the Total Nutrition supplement by Immortal Herbs.

Don't get me wrong. I have had some vegetable highs from drinking concentrated green juices, but this was on a whole other level.

First off, what is Total Nutrition? It is an easy-prep supplement that contains a diverse blend of super food ingredients, like wheat grass, spinach, alfalfa, orange peel, cacao, pomegranate, and a bunch of other exotic highly nutritious foods. It is extremely dense in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, and you can definitely taste it when you drink it. One tablespoon is enough to provide about an entire days worth of vitamins and minerals.

I received a sachet of this product to try out. The whole sachet contained only 30 calories, but had 8g of protein, 6g of carbs, and 5g of fiber. I'm like wow! So if I have 3 shots post-exercise, I can get a lot of the protein and carbs I need, but still stay under 100 calories? I think that's fantastic.

Now, how do you prepare it? I simply mixed mine with water, but I have to admit that it does not taste that good. At least not as good as mixing up spinach and fruits in a green shake. However, the pack did come with recommendations for recipes, most of which suggest you put this in fresh juice or milk. I bet it would taste much better that way :) Just remember that that means a little more calories as well.

What about that high? The mix was so concentrated that as soon as the shot went down, I immediately got a burst of energy. Screw coffee. This is a healthy way to get a mad burst of energy. I would suggest taking a shot in the morning or in the late afternoon when you start to feel all your energy zapping away. Definitely try it.

Cheers Eights & Weights!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
